Hey there, lovely crafters! I'm Lucy, the enthusiastic creator and craft connoisseur behind The Naked Craft Club. As much as I adore my cozy home in Leeds, where I share my space with my crafty partner-in-crime, Andy, and our mischievous feline friend, Bandit, I've always had a bit of an itch for making things.

Ever since I attempted to recreate Tracy Island after watching an episode of Blue Peter, my heart has been set on a course of crafting adventures. There's something truly magical about taking bits of material, thread, and a touch of imagination and turning them into something beautiful, practical, or just plain cute.

About 5 years ago, I embarked on a crafting journey that changed my life – I started a little sewing group called Sewing for Beginners UK. Little did I know that this community would blossom into a vibrant hub of over 60,000 creative souls. It became clear that many folks out there were eager to sew but a tad nervous to start or had a treasure trove of fabrics and old clothes they didn't quite know what to do with.

And so, like a lightbulb moment, The Naked Craft Club was born! I believe that crafting should be easy, affordable, and, most importantly, fun. Whether it's turning your old wardrobe cast-offs into something amazing or embarking on a new sewing adventure, my mission is to help you embrace the joys of sewing, without breaking the bank.

But it's not just about crafting; it's about community. Crafting has this wonderful way of bringing people together, and that's what I'm all about. One of my proudest crafting moments was creating the bridesmaid dresses for my own wedding 9 years ago. Let me tell you, it was a whirlwind of stress, laughter, and lots of love. Seeing my gorgeous sister and friends strut their stuff in my creations made every stitch worth it.
